I am Dr. Jill Weidknecht Van Horne, an LCMHCS, in North Carolina, with over 25 years of experience in schools, hospitals, outpatient care, and community settings. I began my career as a school counselor, which shaped my commitment to developmentally responsive and relationship centered care. I specialize in play therapy and multi-sensory, experiential approaches with children and adolescents, and I bring an integrated perspective that bridges school counseling and clinical mental health. My work is collaborative and strengths-based, focused on helping clients build emotional regulation, resilience, and meaningful, lasting change in their everyday lives.
